Cinnamon Roll Banana Bread with Cream Cheese Frosting
This banana bread takes things to the next level, soft, moist, and swirled with a sweet cinnamon-sugar filling, just like a classic cinnamon roll. Finished with a tangy cream cheese frosting, it’s the ultimate comfort bake. Perfect with coffee, as a dessert, or as a cozy weekend treat.

Instructions
- Step 1
In a bowl, cream together ripe bananas, softened butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Stir in flour, baking powder, salt, and vanilla sugar. Fold in chocolate chips.

Pour half the batter into a greased loaf pan. This baking pan has a length of 29.5 cm (11.6 inches), a width of 13 cm (5.1 inches), and a height of 6 cm (2.4 inches). Sprinkle over half the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Add the rest of the batter on top, then finish with the remaining cinnamon-sugar mix.

Preheat oven to 180 °C (top & bottom heat). Bake for about 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Step 4
Once out of the oven, immediately cover the loaf with a clean kitchen towel and let it rest – this keeps it soft and moist. Allow to cool fully before frosting.
- Step 5
Whisk together cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla paste until smooth. Spread over cooled banana bread.
